Pancakes or Waffles?

That's an easy one for me. Waffles all the way. I like them crispy with lots of butter and a dab of syrup. When they are ready, I tear them into 4 pieces and prop them up so the air can get under them to prevent them from sweating. See, there is a science to my madness here.... I don't like soft or soggy waffles. I don't use a fork, but dive right in with my fingers and dip each bite into butter and a little bit of syrup. The only way to eat waffles!
Here at Old Fashioned Living we have both Pancake and Waffle Mixes. Yes, they are different not only because of the dry ingredients, but the wet ingredients you add in. There is a texture and flavor difference. The biggest difference is usually fat and sugar. Our Buttermilk Pancakes are soft and fluffy with not as much butter or sugar. Waffles benefit from more butter because that's what helps create that golden, crispy exterior. And, who doesn't love a sweet waffle?
Exciting news here at Old Fashioned Living: We are adding our new farmhouse flavor packets to go along with the Pancake and Waffle Mixes. Not only are you getting the trusted, organic and wholesome goodness you love when you use Old Fashioned Living's Pancake & Waffle Mixes, but now you can elevate each batch with a little something extra.
Choose from delicious flavors like Apple Orchard Morning, Country Pumpkin Harvest, Chocolate Porch Morning, Coconut Cream Southern Comfort—and turn your morning stack into something a little more special. Simply add the packets to your mix before you add your wet ingredients. It's a fun way to bring a little extra flavor and a whole lot of homemade goodness to the breakfast table. Because sometimes, it's the little things that make an ordinary morning feel a little more special.
